Hi! My name is Melissa - my friends call me Mel. Not only am I a photographer but I am the wife of a wonderful man and the mother to 9 beautiful children. I am as passionate about my photography as I am about my family and I love having the opportunity to photograph and share beautiful moments with other families.
My goal is to capture those memories that are unique to you and your family and to do so in a fun and relaxed way. Instead of bringing you into a studio, your session will be held on location and will use the beauty of the naturally available light. Instead of forced poses I will photograph you as you interact, talk, play and love.

I can’t wait to meet this sweet baby boy but I so enjoyed taking pictures of his mommy. Jessica has been part of our family for a very long time. She grew up best friends with my little sister. All grown up and having a baby of her own now.

That pretty much sums up baby Uriah. All around sweetness. So cute, so tiny. Perfect little boy. And his Grandma makes the cutest little hats.

We went out scouting for some session locations. Never thought of my little town as being very urban *ish* but I guess I was wrong. We found some great spots and had lots of fun in the process. My girls love to model.

My dear friends and their beautiful kids. We had such a great time doing this despite the fact that I had to run all the way home to grab the camera battery that was NOT in my camera. I enjoyed every bit of this session from the sweet little girls to the little boys that ham it up. It was just FUN.
Emily..I swear I took the rock away from her..right after I snapped the picture..hehe..

I love photographing kids. But there is something special about photographing friends kids. I just love see my friends personalities shine through their kids. Emily is such a sweet little thing. So much like her mommy. She looks so much like her to!
And we can’t go without a picture of both kiddos.
These 2 are the cutest little things.
Baby E was fantastic..so wide awake and alert at first and sound asleep after a while. You couldn’t ask for more cooperation.
And big sister was just as much fun. A total camera ham..keep your eyes out for more of this sweet thing..I made plans with mommy to get some more pictures of her very soon.
